FAQ

Answers you can verify against the procedure.

Every answer below points to a published procedure, rate band, or policy page — not a promise made on a call.

01

Verification

What is a verification record?

A single sheet covering certifications checked at the issuing body, background-check status, and references on file. It is the output of the calibration procedure.

When do I receive the verification record?

Once engagement is underway. That timing is a published standard (STD/03 — record under engagement) and step three of the placement procedure on the calibre° page.

What does primary-source verification mean?

Certifications and credentials are checked against the issuing body, not accepted from a résumé or self-report. That rule is a published standard (STD/01 — primary-source verification) and step two of the calibration procedure on the Verification page.

What is included in background checks and references?

Every engineer completes a criminal background check, employment verification, and a drug test before roster eligibility. Two references are required on file per engineer. Details are on Security & Data and the Verification page.

What is quarterly recalibration?

After placement, credentials and eligibility are re-checked on a published quarterly cadence.

Engagement & rates

How do rate bands work?

Published hourly bands by seniority and model (embedded, part-time, team) are a reference point used internally to quote a role. Exact quotes follow role specification. No range is hidden until a call.

What is the difference between Embedded, Part-time, and Team?

Embedded is full-time under your process and tooling. Part-time is fractional hours on a fixed cadence. Team is a pre-calibrated pod of 3–5 engineers with a lead. Models and bands are on Engagement & Pricing.

Where are commercial terms documented?

The Engagement Terms page covers termination notice (14 days embedded/part-time; 30 days team) and billing (weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly — in arrears, net 15). Full agreement before engagement starts — see Engagement Terms.

03

Sector & process

Which sector is live?

Financial services and fintech (SECTOR/01) is ACTIVE. Healthcare and Legal remain IN CALIBRATION until their claims meet the same checkable standard.

Who owns IP on engagement work product?

Work product created during an engagement is assigned to the client under the placement agreement. Confidentiality is covered by NDA before engagement start — see Security & Data.
